Something terrible happened to Junie B. Jones at school today! Someone stole her new furry mittens! So when Junie B. finds a wonderful pen of many colors, she should be allowed to keep it, right? Because finders keepers, losers weepers. And guess what? There’s a new boy in kindergarten and he is the handsomest. The only thing is both Grace and Lucille want him to be their boyfriend. Maybe he will love Junie B. when he sees her wonderful pen! It is okay to keep it, right? Junie B. Jones is not a crook…or is she? A hilarious and heartfelt tale based on the best-selling book series by Barbara Park.

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Based on the famous novel by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features an original score that also pays homage to the Leslie Bricusse/Anthony Newley score from the 1971 film with songs from the motion picture including “The Candy Man,” I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” “Oompa Loompa Song,” and “Pure Imagination.” The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.

THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

DISNEY’S ALADDIN KIDS

Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more are here in Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love. Aladdin KIDS is sure to send audiences soaring on a flying carpet ride filled with romance and adventure.

DO YOU WANNA DANCE?

JULY 10–12 & 17–19 – TEEN WORKSHOP / DIRECTORS: JAIME PRINCE, ANNA WEST, DEENA GREEN

Singing and dancing is what draws everyone to the town of SnapHappy, Ohio, in May of 1995 to meet Mayor Pete’s new wife, Mona Lightfoot. But after she pulls the plug on the May Day celebration, the politics of dancing start to take the snap out of happy. Delaney, Chad, Lucas, Emma and all of the kids are shocked when they hear that a new “dance tax” has been levied on anyone who dances in town. While their parents try to cope with the new tax, all of the kids come together and take a stand. Featuring classic songs “Dancing in the Streets,” “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “Bust a Move,” “Walking on Sunshine,” and “Shake Your Groove Thing.”

Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

RIDE THE CYCLONE

In this hilarious and outlandish musical, six teenage members of a chamber choir die in a roller coaster accident and are given a chance to return to life by a mechanical fortune teller, The Amazing Karnak. Each teen tells a story to win the chance to return to the land of the living. The musical explores themes of mortality, grief, and the meaning of life. Rated R
